Game Rules

Gemini Station's official game rules.

The following game rules are an addition to our Terms and Privacy policies. The rules listed below are strictly enforced and are designed to maximize fair play and player enjoyment. The following rules can be modified and changed per our discretion at any time and without notice. Major rule changes will be posted in-game and on all our social media channels.

1. Communication

When communicating in-game using any method (chat, mail, ship-to-ship communication), you may not use language that could be classified as offensive or vulgar to others. Threatening, harassing, discriminatory language, racial slurs, sexual innuendos, threats and/or jokes of suicide/self harm, and other language we deem as offensive is unacceptable.

Enforcement
Level I: Users in violation of this rule will receive a warning (sent both to in-game mail, email address on file, and ship's log).
Level II: Repeated offense will result in one (1) week removal from in-game chat.
Level III: Repeated offense will result in one (1) week suspension of account.
Level IV: Repeated offense will result in deletion of account.

Admins and moderators can decide what severity level is appropriate based on the situation and discussion with other admins/mods.

Any links, messages, or posts containing pornographic material of any kind will result in immediate and permanent ban.

2. Callsign & ship Naming

Names are subject to the same rules established above. Both pilot callsigns and ship names must be appropriate and inoffensive. Any name that violates our standards, blurs the line between player and NPC, or disrupts the community will be changed. Additional limitations on naming conventions may be enforced at our discretion.

3. Cheating

You are responsible for how you represent both you and your account in the game world. Cheating of any kind will result in immediate action. Using third-party programs to automate any part of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.

Exploiting other players is also categorized as cheating. Scamming and anything else that may degrade the gaming experience for other players will result in penalties.

Enforcement
Level I: Users in violation of this rule will receive a warning (sent both to in-game mail, email address on file, and ship's log). Additionally, the offending player may lose in-game money, items or levels acquired as a result of cheating, or any other penalty we deem appropriate.
Level II: Repeated offense will result in one (1) week suspension of account.
Level III: Repeated offense will result in permanent ban and IP block.

Admins reserve the right to decide which level of enforcement is appropriate based on the offending player’s actions.

4. Behavior

Behavior that intentionally detracts from another player's enjoyment (such as harassment, constant draining, in-game message spamming, etc.) is unacceptable. We expect players to treat each other with respect and promote a positive in-game experience. Violating these guidelines may result in account and in-game restrictions.

Enforcement
Level I: Users in violation of this rule will receive a warning (sent both to in-game mail, email address on file, and ship's log).
Level II: Repeated offense will result in one (1) week removal from in-game chat and/or restrictions of in-game features (specific ship functions, location restrictions, etc.).
Level III: Repeated offense will result in one (1) week suspension of account.
Level IV: Repeated offense will result in permanent ban and IP block.

Falsely reporting other players with the intent of restricting their gameplay is considered a violation of the above rules and may result in penalties to your account.

5. MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

The use of multiple accounts is strictly prohibited. Any user caught using multiple accounts  will have all associated accounts rolled back to level 1. In addition, all mods, money, and items will be removed.
